Responsible for problem solving and resolution of both voice of the process and voice of the customer driven issues. Develop timely solutions that minimize overall cost and time to implement while maximizing effectiveness using a considerable amount of creativity and initiative. Supervise and direct a medium size group of employees engaged in specialized or varied tasks.
- Planning, Prioritization, and Technical Direction of Activities for their Group
- Assist in Developing Quarterly Goals for their team in Support of the QE Vision and BPD
- Optimize Resources within the QE Group to ensure coverage of QE Functions and Production Support
- Coach, Teach, Develop, and Mentor the QE Team in Problem Solving and GM:GMS Principles

- Increase Quality related skills or organization through attainment of red:x certification, GMS apprenticeship, Quality skills assessment completion, and professional society certification. Implement a cross:training plan for Quality Engineers to meet plant, VAE, SQ objectives
- Support Quality Engineering Manager on PMPs for QEs
- Complete Suggestion Plan Requirements (Ensure completion of incoming Suggestions)
- Ensure Vacation Eligibility Req. are met while maintaining adequate coverage for QE Group Diamond 4 through 7 Problem Solving for All VOC Metrics through RC and ICA
- Lead resolution of Supplier Quality issues affecting Assembly Plant
- Team Member for a VOC Bucket Team
- Communicate Emerging Issues Summary for Responsible Components Daily to QEGL
- Coordinate Repair, Rework and Containment Activities for Identified Spills
- Participate in High Risk Supplier Phone Call
- Validate Supplier Scrap
- Creates PDFs and gains approval to PRTS though the CPIT Process
- Viewed by other Resources Teams and Suppliers as Problem Solver Expert
- Support the PTR Process by running PTRs and evaluating impact on the product / function
- Write PRRs and initiates Controlled Shipping for suppliers that have progressed beyond the PRR system
- Facilitates all Supplier Visits to Manufacturing Facility
- Communicate Lessons Learned to SMTs and Validation Teams

Qualifications
Basic Required
: High level of analytical ability where problems are unusual and difficult
: Well:developed oral and written communication skills
: High level of knowledge of product engineering and manufacturing processes
: Demonstrated technical and professional skills in job:related area
: Appropriate interpersonal styles and communication methods to work effectively with business partners to meet mutual goals
: Knowledge of Corporate and divisional quality and reliability, standards, policies and procedures
Basic Preferred
: Knowledge of and ability to effectively use computer software as it pertains to engineering(PowerPoint, Excel, World, etc)
Education and Training
: Bachelor of Science in Engineering preferred or equivalent training and experience
: Knowledge of GMS principles and practices is preferred but not a requirement
: Red X Training and Certification is Preferred, but will train if needed
: Gart Training and Certification is Preferred, but will train if needed
: Compass Training and Certification is Preferred, but will train if needed
